Collaborative writing, group writing, and team projects that include a writing component can all support student learning by exposing teammates to different perspectives on topics, on problems worth solving, and on a variety of potential solutions. At the same time, students and instructors may be nervous about unequal participation and dread the challenge of managing projects.
