Many instructors allow students to use Generative Artificial Intelligence tools in many stages of the writing process, but how can students be clear about where they have consulted AI tools, especially when the AI output isn’t quoted directly? In this interactive workshop, participants will be introduced to the Artificial Intelligence Disclosure Framework and accompanying Statement Builder tool. Instructors will leave with a helpful additional tool for describing and explaining the appropriate uses of AI in their assignments, as well as a consistent, transparent way to account for students' effortful thinking and writing.
Facilitated by Dan Emery (Assistant Director, Writing Across the Curriculum) and Jessa Wood (Assistant Director, Writing Across the Curriculum).
